SUPERWAND. 360° Detection with Pinpointing Tip. Garrett designs and manufactures sport, security and countermine metal detectors, including hand-held, ground-search and walk-through detectors. Made in the USA.
The Garrett Ace series are excellent detectors to start out on. If you like the hobby and want to move on to a more intermediate level detector, you will have been well educated by the Aces. Take good care of them and they will not lose much value at all since you got them used, I think.
Garrett ACE Series 5" x 8" DD PROformance Search Coil with Cover for ACE 200, ACE 300 and ACE 400 Garrett Original price $129.95 - Original price $129.95 ACE 300 vs 250. Next product in the hierarchy of new ā€œAce lineā€, the Ace 300 which has a mono coil which is slightly smaller – 7 ā€œx 10ā€. However, this coil is better than the one on Ace 250. The frequency is also increased from 6.5 kHz on Ace 250 to 8 kHz new ACE 300. Finally, the iron segment increased.

That's my quandry, Garrett ACE 250 or a Bounty Hunter IV? $200 vs. $100. I can pick up the Bounty Hunter at Wal-Mart here. The Garrett will require a trip up to San Jose to a fascinating detector store (Oh! twist my arm!) and 2X the money but I've been hearing it's better, and is made in USA

The Garrett ACE 150 is the lowest priced in Garrett’s range but the overall design is the same as their pricier models. It’s excellent that Garrett puts as much effort into their cheaper metal detectors. As far as I can tell the materials are the same as the more expensive Garrett 250. 1.2 kgs are all this detector weighs and that was great
In the Garrett ACE 250 all metals are divided into 12 groups (3 for iron). There are 5 search modes, one of which can be programmed by the user. In the Minelab Go-Find all metals are divided into 4 groups only (1 for iron). And if we regard All Metal mode as a separate program, the Go-Find 20 has 2 search modes (All Metal and Non-Ferrous).

The GTI 2500 comes fitted with a 9.5-inch imaging coil as standard which is a good all-rounder. Garrett GTI 2500 is a Very Low Frequency (VLF) metal detector with an adjustable 7.2 kHz with which the hobbyist can pick on silver items and gold nuggets on low, deeper, and high-end frequencies, respectively. You can also take advantage of the device’s automatic pinpointer to hone in on targets. 2. Waterproofing.
The Ace 400 operates on 10.5 kHz vs 6.5 kHz on the 250. The 250 displays a 12 segment target ID graphic while the 400 shows a numeric VDI scale from 0-100. Average detection depth on a US quarter for the 250 is about 7", while the 400 averages about 10" for the same (depth data from metaldetectorreviews.net).
The Garrett ACE 300 has an 8 kHz adjustable frequency whereas the Fisher F22 operates on a 7.69 kHz frequency. There’s barely anything in it. This frequency means both machines are best suited to coin and jewelry hunting and neither fare well on wet sand.
Aug 21, 2005. #1. the GARRETT ACE 250 is an entry level detector in the $200 price range with features you would expect to see on a higher priced detector. the first feature to speak of is the target id legend that indicates visually whether you have found iron, foil,a nickle, pulltabs, gold, bronze, pennies, dimes, quarters, half dollars and

Garrett ACE 300. The Garrett ACE 300 is the new model of the world-famous ACE 250. Even know the ACE 250 was the world’s best-selling entry-level detector for years, I still give my top pick to the Fisher F22. The main reason for that is because Fisher machines are known to have slightly better recovery speed than the Garrett’s.
