I've been searching for hours on which editions of the Witcher books to purchase but from what it looks like, both the US editions and UK edition have different sized books so they don't fit well together on a shelf. Is there a better way to purchase these books so the covers and sizes both match?

I didn't play through "The Witcher 2," but I saw the trailer for "The Witcher 3" and my interest was rekindled. I decided to read the books that the video games were based on. They were great! They are about Geralt of Rivia, a witcher (mutant monster fighter) in a European folklore fantasy setting.

Reading the books is not entirely necessary but if you like to read books, then I would definitely recommend you to read books first. The books are not that long so you can finish them in three-four days. The game takes after the event in the book, so reading books will add so much lore to the world and the characters.

Count us among fans who are excited to listen to The Witcher season 2 soundtrack because season 1's soundtrack was so good. The track list runs 55 songs long (!) and includes the single "Toss a Coin."
