A month ago whilst driving it all the warning lights on the dash came on for a few seconds, then all went out again. Afterwards the car seemed to have lost power.

Been quoted £515 for a clutch on my focus is this a fair price. Also does the 1.8 petrol have a dual mass flywheel. Some people say yes and other say it hasnt. Had clutch & slave cylinder done last year for £480 inc VAT on my 1.6 diesel at an independent garage so i guess that doesn't sound too bad. Quote.

When we bought our Mk2.5 1.8HE Zetec hatch we still had our old Mk1.5 1.8TDCi Ghia estate and I found the Mk2.5 a lot noisier, more engine noise, more road noise and a lot more wind noise. Of course this wasn't a fair like-for-like comparison because the sound insulation was probably better on the Ghia. Hoses from the intercooler to the turbo can split or collapse. Dirty fuel filters bring up an engine fault light. If the fuel filter seal is not replaced at the same time as a filter change it can cause air in the fuel line and problematic starting. Original Ford fuel filters are a must.
I have Ford Focus 1.6TDCi 110HP year 2006 with problems with PATS. here are the PDF electrical wiring diagrams for the Ford Focus Focus Mk2/2.5 + ST PDF dated
Bit of a story here.. I changed the fuel filter on my mk2 1.8 tdci, bad idea. Wasn't till the end of the Haynes manual guide that I realised I need a primer. A roadside guy came and he tried the usual stuff to get started including loosening number 1 injector. Also put an cleaner in the fuel thats called lucos which was recommended by my dad. It was £8 but heard some really good things from it. I still have starting problems with some days it starts 1st time. I do not have problem cranking it, it fires then the revs drop straight away andn conks out. Thanks for your comments guys.

I recently had the wet belt on my 1.8TDCi fail with sheared teeth and I'm currently in the process of fixing it. The work is made a little more difficult as it's outside in rainy Wales. Basically, I removed all the engine ancillaries and got the head off. The cam shaft is fine, but the valves are smashed. Sadly, it became apparent that a couple
