B. Synopsis. Book 1 Five Feet Apart is a novel written by Rachael Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry, and Tobias Iaconis. The story gives account of Stella and Will. They both have lung disease but then they fall in love to each other. The only way to stay alive is to stay apart, or their disease would kill them both. Overall, Five Feet Apart was much better than I had anticipated, with a lot more heart, artistic beauty, and adventure than many of the romance/dramas that I've seen. A strong cast, character usage, and surprises in terms of comedy and plot were the selling points for this reviewer in regards to this film. Five Feet Apart, sourced from Rachael Lippincottâs novel, belongs to the âsad sick litâ genre. Unsurprisingly, it is already being compared to the YA tear-jerker The Fault in Our Stars (2014), which starred Shailene Woodley. Both feature terminally ill teenage lovers and take an existential look at their scenarios. Unfortunately, the filmâs primary failure is its plot. (The remainder of this contains spoilers.) Firstly, âFive Feet Apartâ is just the latest example of the âBury Your Gaysâ trope. Poe, Stellaâs Colombian, gay best friend and the third wheel of the hospital romance, dies abruptly near the end of the film.Chapter 27 Summary: âStellaâ. Stella wakes up in the hospital, surrounded by her parents, Barb, and Dr. Hamid. Panicked, she searches for Will and rejects Dr. Hamidâs assertion to proceed with her lung transplant. Exhausted, Will weakly calls out to Stella and urges her to take the new lungs.
Summary and Analysis Chapter 5. Summary. Ralph calls the assembly and reminds everyone of their agreement to maintain fresh water supplies, observe sanitation measures, build shelters, and keep the signal fire going. He then addresses the growing fear that he knows is beginning to overwhelm many of the boys by opening up the floor for discussion.
