I had the suitcase muffler removed and straight pipes welded in to connect to the resonators on the 2009 R/T I had. It had a weird raspy sound when you got on it. The car also sounded funny in 4 cylinder mode.

Also the high spring pressures from the heads also cause the ticking sounds. We have addressed this on the forum for 7

Hey guys, I just picked up a 2017 Challenger rt, and while I love the tone of the stock exhaust, I would prefer it a little louder. My main concern is losing some of that deep tone that makes this 5.7 Hemi sound so sweet. That along with getting a little raspy as well.
